Octone Records is a NY-based independent label distributed by SonyBMG Entertainment. The label
specializes in alternative, rock, and pop genres, however Octone is intrested in any band that encompasses great artistry,
songwriting skills, and musicianship. After an initial release select artists are then moved up to J Records as part of a
co-venture between J Records, RCA Music Group and Octone. One thing that sets Octone Records apart from other record company's, is
that if you are in a band and think you are good enough to be placed under Octone's label, just sent them a demo and they
will listen to all of it and get back to you on their decision.
Personally, I really enjoy this record company's music they put out. I think they do a
great job on choosing the bands they wish to support. One of the most unknown record labels and that is really too bad,
cause what they dish out is truely amazing.
